What are the WEEE Regulations and how do they affect me?
In January 2007 the Waste electrical and electronic equipment directive was formed.
- The directive aims to dramatically reduce the impact we have on the environment by reusing, recycling and recovering waste electrical items.
- WEEE directive aims to improve the performance of UK businesses that make, recycle, recover and manufacture electrical and electronic devices.
- If you are a business based in UK you are obligated by law to dipose or recyle your items in an ethical way using properly licensed services.
- We will provide you with advice for adhering to these regulations and ensuring your business complies with the WEEE regulations through the use of a waste management licensed company.
How will your WEEE be reported back to your company?
We provide you with all neccesary documentation for you to be completely compliant. This includes:-
- Waste transfer note upon collection of items.
- Government infosec 5 standard data wiping certificates from Blancco wiping system.
