Government IT Recycling legislation:

What is the Environmental Protection Act 1990 ?

Regulations also place a 'duty of care' on all those involved in the management of waste, be it collecting, disposing or treating controlled waste which is subject to licensing. We are setting standards for waste processing within the UK and ensure that all collected waste will be recycled within accordance to BS EN ISO 9001 and Environmental Management Standard BS EN ISO 14001.

What is the Landfill Regulations Act of 2002 ?

The Landfill Regulations Act 2002 (England and Wales) was brought in to highlight the dangers and hazards that come naturally from relying on using landfill to dispose of our company waste. We are fully aware and understand the Landfill Regulations Act 2002 and ensure that our partners are also.

ShP Solutions has a ZERO LANDFILL policy and use BS EN ISO 9001 accreditation with the Environmental Management Standard BS EN ISO 14001 to propel our recycling processes to the highest standards achievable.

What is the WEEE Directive Commitment ?

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive has implemented changes and brought a heightened sense of awareness of how we process our electronic waste. Reporting is paramount to the way we operate our business to comply with government directives. As a business you are responsible for your electronic waste from the point of purchase to the disposal. ShP Solutions provide you with the complete solution to enable full compliance with the government WEEE directive.

We provide evidence as of the 1st July 2007 as to how WEEE has been processed and handled as part of our compliance scheme as an AATF (Approved Authorised Treatment Facility).
